I enjoy engineering computers. Making things run fast. Making elegant abstractions. Understanding logic right down to the bits. BUTTT! It also shackles my creativity and expression. It narrows my mind to numbers and outcomes. It makes my thought process rigid.
Recently, I started drawing and painting with Ajay and I am enjoying it. I sit for hours making a pretty nose, or ugly lips. At 11 am, the bright afternoon sun and floating clouds in the blue sky with a light wind blowing. I enjoy this setting. It is the highlight of my day.
Now I'm doodling a beautiful blue whale. I like the ocean and its amazing!! creatures. Here's my impression. I'll paint it soon.
I like painting my blue whale very very blue. Hues of blues. Mixing colors is fun. But getting a consistent deep dark blue is hard.
And then I painted the waves. The deep dark blue waves of the deep dark blue ocean. The waves are darker the deeper I dive. And the sky a touch of washed out blue.
Oh dear, dear gorgeous!
And then I didn't complete my painting for a long time because it looked so beautiful and I knew that my next step would ruin it. Still I went ahead and did it. Added some bright red and orange highlights to my beautiful blue whale to make it look scary. Lool no! It doesn't look scary. Just look at the googly eyes.
